Blue Falls Manufacturing, the makers of Arctic Spas brand hot tubs have been based in the village of Thorsby, Alberta for about 10 years now. The company has grown into a world leader in the hot tub industry and the support from the local community in and around Thorsby is partly responsible. As a result, the company has recently agreed to a significant sponsorship deal with the village.
On December 15th, 2011 the Thorsby Recreation complex will be renamed as the Arctic Spas Recreation Complex for at least the next 8 years as part of this agreement. The recreation complex is an excellent facility that provides the community with a wide range of services and venues. This sponsorship deal will help the village maintain and improve the facility for many years to come.
It is common in larger towns and cities throughout the USA and Canada for companies to sponsor arenas or other public facilities, but this type of sponsorship agreement is relatively unheard of in more rural locations or villages such as Thorsby.
